Yun TIAN, Zi-feng LIU, Shi-feng ZHAO

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2019, Volume 20, Issue 8,   Pages 1099-1108 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1800129

Abstract: However, most of the vessel segmentation techniques ignore the existence of the isolated and redundantpoints in the segmentation results. In this study, we propose a vascular segmentation method based on a prior shape and local statistics.A matching and connection process is then performed to obtain a blood-vessel mask. Finally, the region-growing method based on local statistics is implemented on the vessel mask to obtain

Frontiers of Medicine 2013, Volume 7, Issue 1,   Pages 91-101 doi: 10.1007/s11684-013-0239-5

Abstract:

Blood pressure monitoring has come a long way from the initial observations made by Reverend HalesThere are none that deny the importance of monitoring perioperative blood pressure; however, the limitedblood pressure measurements leaves room for improvement.Invasive monitoring is able to detect beat-to-beat blood pressure measurement, but the risks inherent, and especially the creation of those offering non-invasive but continuous blood pressure monitoring

Endostatin specifically targets both tumor blood vessels and lymphatic vessels

Wei Zhuo, Yang Chen, Xiaomin Song, Yongzhang Luo

Frontiers of Medicine 2011, Volume 5, Issue 4,   Pages 336-340 doi: 10.1007/s11684-011-0163-5

Abstract: Endostatin, a 20 kDa C-terminal fragment of collagen XVIII, was first identified as a potent angiogenic inhibitor. The anti-angiogenic function of endostatin has been well documented during the past decade. Recently, several studies demonstrated that endostatin also inhibits tumor lymphangiogenesis and lymphatic metastasis. However, the exact mechanism that endostatin executes its anti-angiogenic and anti-lymphangiogenic functions remains elusive. In the current mini-review, we briefly summarize recent novel findings, including the functions of endostatin targeting not only angiogenesis but also lymphangiogenesis, and the underlying mechanism by which endostatin internalization regulates its biological functions.
